The Remote Mortgage Advisor is a responsible for providing mortgages to our existing FORUM member base as well as non-member referrals. This position will work remotely and focus on residential mortgage pre-approvals, purchase loans, construction loans, and refinances using self generated leads.

Although this position is remote, we require the selected candidate be located in the State of Indiana

We are unable to sponsor a work visa for this position.

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities consist of:

Originate residential mortgage loans for FORUM members.

Conduct mortgage application interviews from applicants generated through the established contacts such as Select Employee Groups, direct requests, expired applications, FORUM marketing events, and outside referral sources

Develop and maintain contacts in the real estate industry and other outside sources to produce additional mortgage loans by performing pre-approvals and providing borrower education.

Ensure all client contact, disclosures, and client involvement are done in compliance with applicable Federal and state regulations.

Develop proficiency in lending guidelines for all investors and correspondent relationships with FORUM Mortgage and stay informed of changes in the mortgage industry.

Ensure a smooth and timely mortgage process and closing by pre-qualifying applicants

counseling members on the mortgage products and the process

submitting borrower files to Underwriting for pre-approval

obtaining all necessary documents and information

keeping all involved parties up-to-date on the status of the loan

resolving problems as needed

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training program

One year to three years of similar or related mortgage lending experience with a book of business

Ability to maintain regular attendance and achieve production goals.
