The TeamIT’s Strategy, Planning & Management (SPM) team leads the design and implementation of the IT Strategy and delivery of CIO priorities across IT and the Foundation. SPM is tasked with effectively leading, measuring, and governing portfolio management and project and program delivery relative to long term vision and roadmap.

**This is a 3-year LTE assignment

In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting and driving initiatives at the foundation to integrate generative AI into our work. You will take on a leading role in managing AI programs in close partnership with the Senior Program Manager and under the guidance of executive leadership to help define technical design and execute strategic vision. To inform the program strategy, you are responsible for developing expertise in operational and programmatic data opportunities, specific to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and related business processes and technologies to drive strategic planning and implementation. You will work in partnership with IT and business stakeholders on the continued growth and optimization of AI offerings at the foundation. You will partner with key leaders on the vision, roadmap, and AI program delivery in alignment with the foundation’s mission.

Responsibilities:

Own the detailed execution and delivery of AI programs within operations, including governance framework design, to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

Lead all aspects of the Operations AI roadmap for the development and launch of new AI technology; assess the implications of scaling up or scaling down specific AI initiatives ensuring AI initiatives are aligned with the broader organizational strategies.

Lead enterprise-wide capability-building initiatives encouraging AI tool awareness and education, including community building and sharing in service of innovation.

Partner with peers and customers to ensure that current AI solutions remain relevant, useful, and supported.

Lead expectations for in-demand activities and represent the work to both the Executive Leadership Team and the wider foundation audience drawing on your established experience in AI and Information Technology.

Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, encouraging team members to share ideas and contribute to the continuous improvement of our AI capabilities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

Experience leading teams and collaborating across an organization to ensure seamless integration with the other business applications, systems, platforms, and infrastructure in the IT ecosystem.

Proven track record of successfully delivering complex AI projects on time and within budget.

Exceptional knowledge of AI technologies, algorithms, and frameworks.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

The salary range for this role is $182,600 to $283,100 USD. We recognize high-wage market differences in Seattle and Washington D.C., where our offices are located. The range for this role in these locations is $199,000 to $308,400 USD. As a mission-driven organization, we strive to balance competitive pay with our mission. New hires salaries are typically between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint. Actual placement in the range will depend on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process.
