Title and Summary

Manager, Digital Partners & Enablers, MENA East

As fintech continues to be a fast-growing customer segment for MA, the regional Fintech & Enablers team drives Mastercard’s position as a partner of choice for fintech companies, start-ups and emerging players, and drives opportunities for growth within this rising segment while focusing on how Mastercard enables the fintech segment overall.

The Fintech & Enablers Lead is accountable for managing and growing the Fintech and Fintech Enablers accounts by building and managing the pipeline of new and emerging players, and supporting in the journey to market development by enabling with best-of-breed Mastercard solutions, products, platforms, assets and overall capabilities.

Responsibilities:

- Drive the engagement with Fintech & Enablers to ensure relevant support, drive enablement and readiness discussions and develop the partnership structures based on the customer needs, and overseeing operations and delivery to ensure they support the scale-up objectives and the strategic needs of every fintech

- Oversee BD pipeline with rigorous discipline and tracking of our partnership initiatives across the cluster markets to ensure we deliver impact

- Organize, resource and drive cross-organizational working groups focused on key fintech topics for Mastercard including the tracking and reporting of overall Fintech pipeline as well as go-to-market enabling initiatives

- Managing relationships with all local fintech partners to ensure their touchpoints with F&E programs are best in class, and ensure the liaison with local offices of regional or global fintechs in the cluster markets

- Responsible for onboarding partners for F&E programs including complex contract negotiations with fintech participants.

- Design and implement new efficient and centralized approaches, frameworks, processes and commercial constructs that meet our objectives and simplify our engagements with partners

- Responsible for designing and implementing key events / market engagement calendars that create the rhythm for all F&E programming with appropriate streamlined logistics and consistent experience for our fintechs

Requirements:

- Demonstrates strong self-awareness, open to different approaches and ideas and open to challenging status quo to drive new business initiatives

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements – startup experience a plus

- MBA, Masters or other advanced degree in strategy, marketing, technology, communications, innovation, entrepreneurship or other related field a plus

- Possesses a passion for and experience of the startup and Fintech community

- Demonstrated ability to be agile, entrepreneurial, self starter, and taking accountability and drive to desired results with passion, ambition and aptitude.
