The Specialist, Fashion Direction understands the zeitgeist of what’s leading and innovative within the world of fashion and retail as it relates to the Holt Renfrew customer.

This position supports the Fashion Director in project management for trend and market related projects that are shared with key stakeholders across the business in advance of seasonal planning.

The Specialist, Fashion Director is an extremely organized individual who also encompasses as strong fashion authority.

What you'll be doing: • Oversee and maintain styling guidelines within in-store and ecommerce platforms ensuring that fashion vision is consistent throughout • Partner with cross-functional marketing teams to maintain fashion and brand directives within styling and product initiatives for marketing led programs • Research and analyze competitive retail and industry trends to be shared to cross functional teams • Support cross functional teams with sample requests for marketing initiatives ensuring that inbound and outbound samples are properly logged and tracked within internal audit systems • Facilitate ticket requests, meeting requests, and oversee seasonal travel calendar for Fashion Director and executive team during international fashion weeks • Support divisional buying teams in translating seasonal key launches into cohesive trend messages per season as aligned through content calendar • Source and discover new and emerging designers and retail concepts to be shared with buying and marketing teams • Takes the opportunity to champion specific projects • Logs departmental expenses within approved budget • Complies with all Health & Safety policies and requirements • Lead, motivate, and retain a team of high performing employees that is capable of delivering results • Ensure compliance with privacy policies, regulations, and cyber security measures.

The ideal candidate: • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent work experience • 4-6 years of post-university work experience • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with the ability to get things done • Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player who is able to act as both a leader and an individual contributor as required • Confident and effective communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills • Is adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change • Highly service-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow up skills • Passionate about fashion and luxury retailing • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suites – InDesign • Ensure compliance with privacy policies, regulations, and cyber security measures.
