SUMMARY:

Manages and performs accounting functions in conjunction with the Director of Finance. Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting and protection of all company assets. Implements Company and department policies and procedures related to financial management. Performs all responsibilities in compliance with various federal and state regulations. Performs responsibilities in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act and Regulations, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, and all internal policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Within the realm of the responsibility of the job, maintains a clean and safe work environment. Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures, which includes use of safety equipment. Incumbents are responsible for following safety procedures, identifying unsafe practices or conditions and informing their supervisor or the Safety Committee of unsafe conditions, as directed.

Attendance: reports to work as scheduled, on time, and ready to work.

Manages accounting activities and accurately and promptly produces financial and statistical reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis or as required or requested.

Supervises and manages staff who are responsible for the accounting function including, but not limited to, accounts payable, recording of revenue and expenses, fixed asset activity, inventory, etc.

Oversees and assists in accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

Ensures timely payment of all gaming taxes and other regulatory fees.

Assists in providing accurate financial reporting and participates in the quarterly and year-end audits performed by external auditors.

Posts all journal entries and maintains general and subsidiary ledger including the fixed assets ledger.

Responsible for proper reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts each month and the timely and accurate close of the accounting records at the end of each month.

Reviews and interprets unusual transactions, adjustments or unexpected financial results to determine the appropriate accounting treatment or necessary follow up.

Assists in preparation of annual budget.

Reports to the Director of Finance as assigned, with accurate and timely work.

$65,000+ annually based on experience
