Our client is recruiting for an experienced Perishables Supervisor to join their team based in Gugulethu, Cape Town.
Job Purpose:
Responsible to assist in creating and maintaining a fully functioning, profitable Perishable Department and promote excellent customer service and communication. Full management of the Perishable Staff.
Responsibilities:
Identify ideal stock levels per product category
Determine range per product category
Evaluate ordering records per product category in relation to rate of sale
Conduct spot checks to ensure that KVI’s are in stock
Maintain ideal stock levels per category
Verify orders and timing of orders
Process returns daily
Evaluate all category damages daily and follow up with suppliers /merchandisers.
Conduct spot checks on stock rotation daily
Ensure stock rotation from back-up store and areas
Maintain Telxon Roster daily to ensure controls over Telxon usage
ENSURE THAT THERE IS NO EXPIRED STOCK ON THE FLOOR
Timeous and correct ordering of stock
Optimize stock turns to improve cash flow
Responsible for stock take figures and results weekly
Verify all order with the Buyer including drop shipments, direct and warehouse orders Skills required
Accurate stock in the right quantities on floor
High stock turns
Conduct spot checks on pricing across all categories to ensure accuracy is maintained ensure discrepancies are rectified with GRV office
Update PLU’s daily
Identify stock that must be marked up or down and follow the procedure to do the adjustments accordingly
Use customer suggestions and complaints to guarantee that the needs of the customers are being met.
Ensure staff adheres to required customer service.
Meet and achieve budgets and targets
Assist in the hiring process of Merchandising Staff
Ensure the staff is trained at all times
Induction and training of new staff members
Scheduling of the staff, ensuring a standby list is in place in the event of absenteeism
Address performance and personnel issues in a timely manner
Take responsibility to meet the performance targets as set by Store/ Senior Management
Aadhere to company Rules and Regulations and Policies and Procedures and ensuring staff compliance there to,
Daily management of staff
Ensure attendance of staff is at the company level required
Self-disciplined and lead by example at all times
Qualification:
Grade 12 (Matric)
2 Years Experience
Salary - Market related
Working Hours - Monday to Sunday (Shifts)
