Product Manager

We are excited to bring on a new Product Manager to join our growing team at Clarivate! As a Platform Product Manager, you will be responsible for helping to create quality products and driving a first-class user experience on the ProQuest platform and other platforms. You will also be responsible for prioritizing lists of requirements for future product development; writing user stories; making development choices to maximize business value; and, working with scrum teams, aligning development to product strategy. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Three years of experience working in an Agile or Scrum development environment

3 years of project management experience

3 years of experience in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in prototyping and iterative development

3 years of experience using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making

It would be great if you also had . . .

MBA, MLIS, or similarly relevant graduate degree

Familiarity working with A/B testing and web analytics to guide product & UI development

Familiarity with Silicon Valley Product Group product development methods and strategies

Familiarity with market research techniques for surveying customer and market needs and requirements

Knowledge of or experience working in the academic library marketplace

What will you be doing in this role?

You will be responsible for helping to create quality products and driving a first-class user experience on the ProQuest platform and other platforms.

You will also be responsible for prioritizing lists of requirements for future product development; writing user stories; making development choices to maximize business value; and, working with scrum teams, aligning development to product strategy.

Drive the development, release, maintenance, and enhancement of products

Work with and drive alignment between cross-functional teams, including product management, design/user experience, engineering, content operations, enterprise systems, and customer service

Work in an Agile environment, continuously reviewing business needs, refining priorities, outlining milestones and deliverables, and identifying opportunities and risks

Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria

Lead the product functional design process based on a detailed and extensive knowledge of the platform and users

Prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders

Develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of post-launch product performance in order to assess the likely benefit of future investment

About the Team

Platform is an international team of 10 people, within the wider Academic & Government product management group. We are at the center of the product development process, establishing user needs and translating them into actionable work that delivers products, features and enhancements that support the efforts of students and researchers across the globe.

Hours of Work

Full time, permanent

Although duties are typically performed during normal business hours, occasional off-hours may be required

Hybrid position in Ann Arbor (2-3 days a week in the office)
