The Data Analyst contributes to the success of Iron Mountain and helps the company achieve ambitious sustainability goals by helping to deliver positive environmental, social and economic results using data, analytics, visual representation and reporting to inform business decision makers and provide transparency and accountability for Iron Mountain stakeholders.

As an Analyst, you will be responsible for tracking various Key Performance Indicators (KPI)s, managing data from multiple systems, ongoing data improvement and associated project management. To accomplish this the analyst liaises with departments that maintain and collect data or helps to identify methods to collect data as it relates to ESG 1) environmental data including energy, greenhouse gas emissions, waste, and water; 2) social data including diversity, equity, and inclusions data, workforce data, and health, wellness and safety data; 3) corporate philanthropy and community impact data; 4) volunteerism data; 5) other data as it is needed.

The Analyst provides data analysis and visualization relating to data to help identify gaps and drive decision-making. This role will also be responsible for managing data collection and management projects related to reporting, benchmarking and customer requests. Examples include scope 3 Greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, annual ESG reporting and quarterly dashboards and owning our inventory management plan that ensures ESG information is audit ready, with strong controls to ensure data integrity.

Responsibilities:

The Data Analyst will be responsible for the following:

Ensure data integrity and turn data into actionable intelligence through analytics, visualization and clear presentations that help decision makers understand trends, risks and opportunities.

Assist in identifying data gaps and work with the appropriate HR, Operations or Global Business Support teams to set up data gathering tools and processes

Create streamlined processes for employee population reporting needs from Workday and work with DEI and other teams as needed to ensure alignment across all reports.

Generate business unit and regional specific dashboards that help business leaders make informed decisions.

Monitor progress towards goals through internal and external dashboards/reports.

Calculate and collect metrics for reports and external award opportunities.

Assist with generating suggested metrics and timelines for goals.

Oversee our scope three GHG emissions data collection and calculation.

Other duties as assigned.

Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, data analytics, sustainability, or related field of study

Knowledge and understanding of data management, data integrity and controls procedures, and data visualization

Advanced analytical and Excel/Google Sheet skills

Experience with Schneider Electric’s Resource Advisor tool is a plus

Strong project management skills

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively throughout all levels of the organization

Demonstrated ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders including bridging cross-functional groups

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and project timelines, effectively adjust and prioritize workload, and work within a dynamic industry – is constantly changing

3 years of experience in a business setting and experience with reporting preferred
