We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant, to join the team at Tetlow Kilns based in Notting Hill.
Your key responsibilities and duties include:
Bank reconciliation, customer invoicing, supplier payments, BAS preparation
Preparation of management financial reports
Full data entry of creditor, debtor, sales, purchases, foreign currency transactions.
Ensure completion of Balance Sheet account reconciliations, including control account reconciliations
Posting of all adjusting General Ledger journals as well as month end accrual journals
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Preparation of Payroll tax, Group Tax, and Superannuation returns including annual reconciliations
Maintenance of the company fixed asset register
Preparation of year end account files for audit
Compiling timesheets for payroll (payroll function done at head office)
Budget management
Assist the General Manager to maintain QA program (ISO 9001)
Assist with upkeep of the IT platform
As a successful candidate, you will have the following attributes:
Bachelor of Business with major in accounting field
At least 2 years of working experience as an accountant
Ability to work autonomously and have a high attention to paperwork detail.
Self-organization, initiative & flexibility
MYOB (EXONET) literate, and proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
Attention to detail
Customer focus
Can work well within a close-knit team (10 staff)
Strong communication skills.
