Title:Senior – Theater Aviation Sustainment Group Specialist

The Theater Aviation Sustainment Maintenance Group (TASMG) is an organization unique to the Army National Guard. The four TASMGs located in Fresno, CA, Gulfport, MS, Springfield, MO, and Groton, CT provide pass back field and sustainment maintenance support to the Army Guards fleet of 1,400 Rotary wing fleet.

The right contractor must have extensive experience in the myriad of demands, capabilities, and capacity of TASMG. The right contractor will possess a broad understanding of the unique relationships across the Guard Aviation enterprise presented by the 54 States, Territories, and the District of Columbia, the legal and regulatory nuances governing State and Federal Resources, and the challenges of the Guard mobilization process.

The ideal candidate will possess a very good working knowledge of the TASMG and AVCRAD organizations and communicate the mission of these entities to Army Senior Leaders when appropriate.

Qualifications:

Former Senior Army Aviation Officer or Warrant Officer with 20+ years of service.

Experience working with or directly in Army National Guard Aviation and Safety Division (NGB-AVS)

Experience working with or directly in Theater Aviation Sustainment Group and Aviation Classification Repair Activity Depot (AVCRAD)

Experience working with Aviation and Army Systems of Record related to aircraft maintenance activities (ACN, GFEBS, GARMY)

Knowledge and Understanding of Aviation Depot operations.

Knowledge and Understanding of the PPB&E budgeting process.

Knowledge and Understanding of the ARNG MDEP’s supporting TASMG/AVCRAD operations.

Thorough Knowledge and Understanding of Army Aircraft Maintenance Policies and Regulations

Knowledge of Army National Guard Aviation Past, Present, and Future Vision.

Ability to interact and advise Senior Level Officers (O-5 and above)

Ability to travel to conferences and meetings as directed by the customer.

Security Clearance: Secret

Desired Skills:

Experience working at NGB-AVS

Former Senior Army Aviation Officer with 25+ years maintenance experience

Civil Service (GS13+ or NH4+) record supporting Army Aviation Maintenance activities.

Former Army Aviation Maintenance Officer and Test Pilot (Commissioned or Warrant Officer)
