Department Overview

IT Product and Enterprise Platforms is a unified organization comprised of various departments that collaborate effectively to deliver high quality technology solutions.

The IT Vegetation Management(VM) team is responsible for collaboratively working with the Vegetation Management LOB in the Wildfire Risk organization to implement solutions that make our communities, customers, and employees safer.

Position Summary

We are seeking an IT Operations Management Technical Lead to join our team in maintaining and enhancing the One VM tool. The ideal candidate will lead the day-to-day technical operations and maintenance of Salesforce and GIS based vegetation management application. The technical lead will be always up to date with the One VM application in its current state. The lead will work with subject area leads to maintain highly available systems, implement process automation, optimize operations team efficiency, implement best practices, and provide technical guidance to One VM vendor resources and business stakeholders.

The role is hybrid working from your remote office and in-person at the Oakland General Office(OGO) based on business needs.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&Eā€™s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $136,000

Bay Area Maximum: $232,000

Job Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership to the PG&E Vegetation Management IT Operations team that maintains 24x7 system operations, user support, reporting and data analysis.

Coordinate team efforts to resolve service interruptions and other operational issues to maintain the SLAs agreed with LOB and vendors.

Lead troubleshooting, recovery, and root cause analysis efforts. Coordinate with application leads for advanced troubleshooting support.

Direct and oversee code branching, merging, resolution across various environments and systems per PG&E standards.

Oversee various system upgrades and patching activities from testing to deployment in all environments to ensure timely completion and no conflict with enhancement and delivery schedules.

Monitor and refine standard operating procedures, stabilization exit criteria, run book for application support and maintenance.

Coordinate with delivery team leads to be up to date and aligned with upcoming programs, architectural updates.

Qualifications

Minimum

High school Diploma or General Education Development(GED)

At least 5 years of hands-on Industry experience in architecture, design, development, deployment and support of Salesforce and/or GIS applications in a highly scalable and high performing environment involving mobile, web, server, and databases in cloud ecosystem.

4 years of Web Services development or experience with the Salesforce API (REST/SOAP/Bulk, etc.)

Experience in one of the cloud technologies ā€“ Azure, AWS

Experience implementing a Development Operations (DevOps) release automation using tools such as ServiceNow, Docker, Puppet, JIRA, Git, and Jenkins

Experience building complex queries in SQL, design, and architecture in a high-performance scalable database environment.

Strong understanding of environment management, org strategy, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies

Experience with Microsoft 365 Portals, Exchange Online Portal, MFA/SSO

Experience in working with at least one of the Analytics platforms PowerBI, Tableau etc.

Experience in managing and driving software systems integration and delivery end to end through the SDLC - requirements, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment.

Experience in full stack development ā€“ web, server, databases in cloud environments

Proven experience driving delivery in a multi-vendor, multi organizational environment across IT and Business, multiple time zones.

Must be available for occasional off-hours work, and available to assist in an on-call capacity, as needed.

Desired

Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, and related disciplines

Expertise in Salesforce development, configuration, and administration

Expert knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating Salesforce with different technologies like GIS, SAP, Reporting solutions

Active Salesforce certifications Application and System Architect

5 years Hands-on Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS development experience

Strong interpersonal, analytical, customer service skills
