Lead DevOps Engineer

About the job: As the Lead DevOps Engineer, you will play an active part in designing, monitoring, and managing our AWS-based infrastructure.

Reporting to the CTO, you will implement scalable architecture and oversee the work of an enthusiastic team of dev-ops engineers.

We are looking for candidates who have proven experience managing an AWS-based platform, a good understanding of system automation, scaling, and load balancing, and a forward thinking mindset aimed at high availability and identifying problems or bottlenecks before they become issues.

Responsibilities - Automate management of our back-end infrastructure - Build a customer-level load balancing solution that balances customers across multiple, independent, isolated environments - Improve the monitoring capabilities of our platform - Analyze and understand system bottlenecks and design and/or implement solutions to remove those bottlenecks - Ensure 99.9% customer-facing uptime Qualifications - In-depth knowledge of AWS - Proven experience automating the management of a distributed system - Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB) - Familiarity with Amazon Redshift data warehouse - Experience with automation tools like Packer, Vagrant, Docket, Chef, etc - Working knowledge of nginx - 5+ years professional experience working on high-scale distributed systems Compensation $145K – $165K and higher (DOE) 0.01% – 0.1% Visa Sponsorship Not available Best Regards, Kris Kris Young Account Manager BHO Tech San Jose, San Francisco Ca Phone: x 823
