Facility & EHS Engineer (Samut Prakan)

Job Responsibilities

Emergency Preparedness and Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures for a wide range of potential emergencies, including fires, chemical spills, natural disasters, and medical emergencies. Coordinate drills and exercises to test response capabilities and enhance preparedness.

Environmental Management: Manage environmental aspects of data center operations, including waste management, pollution prevention, and energy conservation initiatives. Implement measures to minimize environmental impacts and promote sustainability.

Ergonomics and Industrial Hygiene: Evaluate ergonomic risks and hazards associated with data center work environments. Recommend ergonomic solutions and controls to minimize ergonomic injuries and musculoskeletal disorders. Conduct industrial hygiene assessments to identify and mitigate exposure to chemical, biological, and physical hazards.

Contractor Safety Management: Develop and implement contractor safety programs to ensure that contractors and subcontractors working in data center facilities comply with EHS requirements. Conduct pre-qualification assessments, safety orientations, and periodic audits of contractor activities.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential EHS risks and vulnerabilities within data center facilities. Develop and implement mitigation strategies and controls to minimize risks and prevent incidents.

Safety Training and Education: Develop and deliver EHS training programs to data center staff and contractors. Provide instruction on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, hazard recognition, and risk mitigation strategies. Ensure that all personnel receive appropriate training and certification as required.

Incident Investigation and Reporting: Lead investigations of EHS incidents, including accidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental releases. Determine root causes and contributing factors, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Prepare accurate and timely incident reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Safety, Health and Environment or related fields

Minimum 10 years’ experience in environmental management and safety management system or related fields

Knowledge of environmental impact assessment (EIA), SHE management system and SHE Law

Strong leadership skills and excellent communications

Creativity, problem solving skills, negotiation, systematic thinking

Good command in English (Minimum 500 TOEIC score)
