Position Summary

In support of the Mission and Vision of SyBridge Technologies Inc., the Production Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations within the manufacturing team. Reporting to the General Manager, this leader ensures first-time quality is a priority while ensuring a productive work force and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations within the plant; direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the manufacturing areas.

Responsible for executing the production plans to meet customer quality and delivery expectations; achieved by establishing work schedules and employee assignments.

Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment while meeting plant productivity goals.

(Maintain safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations)

Understand overall plant capacities and manage accordingly to meet production plan (and customer expectations).

Lead operational team to support plant SQDC goals.

Initiates and drives continuous improvement.

Report daily key performance indicators (KPI) for various areas and establish action plans.

Hold and participate in daily communication reviews on the floor with team.

Confer with others to coordinate operations and activities within or between teams.

Responsible for building an effective team within the production area.

Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules to determine production requirements to meet targets.

Identify equipment maintenance requirements for supervisory area, ensure regular maintenance of machines to ensure maximum up time.

Maintain the equipment by ensuring basic preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions, initiating repair work orders, etc.

Qualifications:

Leadership attributes resulting in successful business results

8 years of experience within a (machining) manufacturing environment

Working knowledge of machining equipment and manufacturing processes

Experience working with tight tolerances.

Previous leadership experience.

Must be able to work independently, manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, and organize plant workload.

Proven track record of successful implementation of improvement initiatives.

Preferred: Familiarity with the plastic injection molding process

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Management, or related field

Preferred: Able to set up and program machining work centers
