We can ONLY consider your application if you have:
1: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or closely related technical field.
2: 3 years design/development/test of embedded real-time control software. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
3: Proven design experience with FPGAs and/or Microprocessor development toolsets.
4: Technical competency required in applied science, data acquisition, diagnostic skills, document creation, and mathematics.
5: Proven experience with industry standard communication protocols such as USB, CAN, RS422, RS485, SPI, I2C, UART, and others.
6: In-depth understanding of modern embedded software development processes including design, implementation, unit testing, continuous integration, version control with Git, etc.
7: Understanding of TCP/IP stacks and protocols.
8: Experience in using various debugging techniques including JTAG debuggers, logic/protocol analyzers, sniffers, and oscilloscopes.
9: Operating Systems experience, especially Real Time Operating Systems (bare metal and embedded Linux) is a plus.
10: Experience in Unix internals, low level driver software, communication interface software as well as GUI software is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities
== Be responsible for supporting embedded software design and development for MIL-AERO electronics products
== Design, develop, modify, and evaluate moderately complex embedded software based designs for the military and aerospace markets
== Work with internal team members to solve software and system issues. Support specific project initiatives as needed. Be a key resource for other embedded software design engineers
== Perform embedded systems engineering tasks including requirements analysis, operational concept development, software system design/architecture, component integration, design reviews, integration testing and problem solving.
== Debug issues with existing systems.
== Create detailed plans for the implementation of software solutions including input into the determination of language, platform, and resource requirements.
== Perform code maintenance including debugging and updating to keep pace within a fast paced and evolving design environment.
== Interface with customer to understand needs and verify requirements.
