WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Sector Senior Coordinator (Principal Investors sector) within BCG’s Principal Investors & Private Equity Practice Area (PIPE PA), you will be part of the PA’s global practice management & operations team (PA M&O), supporting the management of various practice initiatives. You will work closely with the Sector Director to support the development and growth of the Principal Investors sector and you will also work with other areas of the PA M&O team and other BCG teams when required (eg., Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Knowledge).

More specifically, activities will include (but not limited to):

Role Requirements:

Business Development:

Assist the Sector Director in growing the business through lead management by preparing lists of upcoming transactions, tracking the opportunity pipeline, and using proprietary tools to monitor sector performance

Support the Sector Director in updating relevant business information across proprietary systems & tools

Assist with sector-specific PA people engagement, training, and affiliation initiatives

Sector Communications & Marketing:

Play an important role in driving internal communications efforts that provide updates on BCG offerings and commercial initiatives.

Collate suitable content to include in external marketing emails to clients

Support the implementation of the sector marketing plan and work closely with the Sector Director to execute external market initiatives (thought leadership, industry conferences, etc.)

Support data gathering and cleaning efforts by leveraging BCG’s Customer relationship management system

Reporting

Work closely with the Sector Director in preparing regular business updates and provide more in-depth sector analysis when required

Strong communication skills and working across a global team

Building a strong network in the PA and beyond by leveraging a robust understanding of the PA’s business to make decisions

Supporting, and in some cases, driving complex, ambiguous PA processes that routinely require independent judgment, trade-offs, or prioritization

Supporting and in some cases, driving the organization of internal and external PA regional affiliation meetings and events

Helping others navigate the practice network and supporting the onboarding of team members

Accurately providing financial and business analysis

Exercising judgment to contribute beyond the PA, thinking analytically through alternatives

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

4-6+ years of relevant experience

Bachelor’s degree

The ability to handle defined PA processes or smaller projects with minimal guidance

The ability to make independent decisions within existing guidelines

Exceptional organizational, planning, and project management skills; strong at conceptualization, follow-through, ownership, and accountability

Solid analytical skills (e.g. for business reporting tasks) and a structured way of thinking

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative team environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Professional, service-oriented, proactive, and flexible attitude

Advanced knowledge in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel

YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will work closely with the Sector Director for Principal Investors as well as other members of the PA Management & Operations team. You will also be required to build an internal global network with team members from Knowledge Teams and other Practice Areas and Business Functions.
