Position: Surveillance Lead Agent Department: Surveillance Job Summary: Responsible for day-to-day direct supervision of Surveillance personnel on the assigned shift and for the regulatory oversight of Class II and III gaming activities necessary for compliance with State/Tribal gaming compact, federal, State and Tribal laws, and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities (specific areas of responsibilities, include but are not limited to): * Communicates effectively with Surveillance Management.

* Manages, trains, assigns duties and reviews work of assigned staff.

* Responsible for the regulatory oversight of Class II and III gaming activities necessary for compliance with State/Tribal gaming compact, federal State and Tribal laws and regulations.

* Responsible for the monitoring of all components of the gaming facility, including the parking lot areas, in conjunction with Tribal Gaming Inspectors/Investigators, Security and Law Enforcement personnel.

* Monitors the cashier cages, vault areas, and any location where currency is being handled, the personnel therein, and other areas that may require monitoring.

* Conduct preliminary investigations that would determine if a violation or crime might have been committed.

* Write detailed and accurate reports informing Tribal Gaming Office of incidents or suspected illegal activity.

* Ensure all staff follow prescribed procedures and always conduct themselves in a proper and professional manner.

* Ensure incident reports are written immediately following each incident.

* Observe employee performance.

* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Knowledge of gaming procedures and operational standards.

* Knowledge of ethical consideration in a regulatory and Governmental environment such as the relationship to the Tribal Gaming Operation.

* Knowledge of National Indian Gaming Commission, State/Tribal laws, and regulations regarding Class II and III gaming operations.

* Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures within the gaming operations.

* Knowledge of table games and gaming practices to include the use of equipment and various surveillance devices.

* Knowledge and practical understanding of the use of security and communications systems including CCTV equipment, monitors, and two-way radios.

* Applying and interpreting NIGC, State laws and regulations and Tribal Internal Controls rules and policies as they relate to gaming.

* Preparing and maintaining reports and records.

* Operation computer and software (i.e., MS Office, Word, Excel, etc.) * Supervise and train other personnel * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Tribal Gaming office, Arizona Department of Gaming and Pascua Yaqui Law Enforcement and Fire personnel.

* Ability to understand and comprehend the use of surveillance systems.

* Ability to initiate written reports with well-organized structure, grammar, and punctuation.

* Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.

* Ability to produce written documents with organized thoughts that indicate a clear intent using proper sentence construction, grammar usage and punctuation prior to the end of a shift.

* Ability to comprehend and make inferences from relevant written materials, including, but not limited to mathematical calculations.

* Ability to distinguish colors, shapes, and sizes.

* Ability to locate the proper camera and the sequence necessary to video record the information requested or necessary.

* Ability to identify equipment malfunctions and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel to include management and the IT help desk.

* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality as related to surveillance operations.

Minimum Qualifications: * Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in surveillance.

* Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.

* Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.

* Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

* Must be able to obtain and maintain state certification and a valid gaming license.

* Must pass a pre-employment Math and Writing assessment test with a minimum of 85% proficiency.
