Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals for residents following dietary guidelines in both cold and hot kitchen settings
Collaborate with the team to create and rotate seasonal menus
Utilise creative skills to enhance meal presentation and ensure visual appeal
Support the kitchen team with effective time management to ensure timely meal preparation
Assist the Head Chef in achieving goals within specified timeframes
Adhere to opening and closing procedures to maintain cleanliness and organisation
Essential Requirements:
Previous kitchen experience working in an aged care environment
Ability to follow dietary guidelines and accommodate special dietary needs
Strong time management skills in a fast-paced kitchen setting
Excellent verbal communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with the kitchen team
Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures
Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail
