Welder

Full-time opportunity for a welder in a busy business in Lonsdale

Salary between $70,000 - $80,000 plus 11.5 % superannuation.

The Applicant should be experienced and good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

read + interpret blueprints / technical drawings

take measurements to plan layout + workflow procedures

determine appropriate equipment + method based on requirements

prepare and set up components for welding according to specifications (for instance: cut materials with a powered saw to comply with measurements)

operate angle grinder to prepare components to be welded

align components using calipers, clamps, rulers, etc

weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment; a variety of positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead)

repair machinery + other components via welding pieces + filling gaps

test + inspect structure + welded surfaces to discover flaws

maintain equipment to ensure continued safe operation + no compromise to safety + efficient operation
