Description:

We are looking for a suitably experienced and driven individual to take the lead as the Quality Assurance Manager at our facility in Gladstone. The QA Manager will lead the quality function across the facility and drive all quality initiatives as we grow. They will be responsible for the facility’s Quality Management System (QMS) to meet the relevant Standards and customer requirements as well as for continuous improvement initiatives.

The Key Responsibilities will include:

Conduct Quality audits both internal/external

Track, analyse and Report performance against key Quality metrics

Establish strong Customer Relationship with effective and proactive communications, especially when Quality issues and failures arise.

Provide staff training with defined processes and adequate resourcing including performance feedback to ensure inspections occur on time and to the required standard.

Review All issues captured and raise NCRS, implement Corrective Actions with relevant parties to highlight the issue and resolve.

Perform inspections on manufactured parts and completed products to ensure compliance with in-house QMS and customer requirements.

Work collaboratively and in conjunction with the company’s senior management in the development, implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the company’s Quality Management System including procedures, policies, and work methods.

As a leader you will:

Drive a quality culture throughout the company

Foster and promote an attitude of continuous improvement by encouraging the use of continuous improvement concepts across the team.

Self-manage and effectively prioritise workload.

The Skills and Attributes we need are:

Manager in a previous Quality supervisory or similar role, 2-3 years beneficial

Experience in organisational standards.

Knowledge of Quality Systems and Quality Management theory, Lean or Six Sigma, and 5S

Auditing Skills and/or qualifications

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Have the ability and confidence to engage and influence others to ensure adherence and compliance with document control and management requirements in a consultative manner.

Competent computer skills
