Our client, a world leader in the semiconductor industry, is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to be based in San Diego, CA.
Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)
Responsibilities:
• Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure internal desktop systems software and hardware.
• Installs, configures, and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers, and network issues in a heterogenous environment.
• Creates and implements maintenance procedures for shared workstation software and hardware (operating system, anti-virus, software update, etc)
• Maintain passwords, data integrity, and file system security for the desktop environment.
• Recommends hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades.
• May participate in the development of information technology and infrastructure projects.
Required Skills:
• Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and experience troubleshooting hardware and software.
• Experience working in a help desk or technical support role.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve a wide variety of technical issues.
