Responsibilities:
Support various sized case teams as sole litigation case manager, or part of a larger team, during all stages of litigation from conception through trial and appeal
Actively manage the production of hard copy and electronic documents, including collecting documents and data from clients, processing documents from opposing and third parties, handling logistics of document productions, and printing
Prepare for depositions, conferences, and hearings, including compiling documents, assisting in preparing witness outlines, and managing logistical and technical details
Attend and prepare for trials, including compiling and tracking trial exhibits, preparing documents and evidence for courtroom use, setting up remote trial offices, coordinating with trial vendors, interacting with courtroom staff and opposing party case managers
Conduct substantive factual research, including analysis of documents, summaries of information, conducting interviews and preparing chronologies
Organize and maintain case files, including storing hard copy and electronic documents and overseeing document management systems
Collaborate with the eDiscovery and Litigation Support Department and utilize databases and eDiscovery solutions
Assist in drafting motion papers, correspondence, and other documents including fact checking, compiling exhibits and appendices, formatting documents according to local rules
Collaborate with the Managing Clerk’s Office to prepare and file court documents, maintain court calendars, track case deadlines, and coordinate service of legal documents
Assist with training and mentoring of junior case managers, including participation and development of the Case Manager Training Curriculum
Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and at least 5+ years’ work experience as a litigation law firm paralegal. Trial experience required.
Knowledge and Skills: You have advanced knowledge of Microsoft office applications, and the ability to learn new and innovative tools and solutions.
Clear Communication and Attention to Detail: You express yourself clearly and concisely and you proactively communicate the status of your work. You have excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.

In addition, the successful candidate will be based in the New York area or willing to relocate and will be available to work 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This is a hybrid position.
