Mission of Role: The Job of Logistics Executive involves overseeing the efficient handling, movement, and storage of goods. This role requires a strategic understanding of supply chain management and the ability to coordinate various logistical processes.
Role Responsibilities
Delivering key KPIs: Budget costs, on-time vehicle placement, vehicle utilization, detentions etc.
Coordinating with various service providers & other stakeholders (plants, sales etc.) to achieve seamless & cost-effective logistics execution.
Prepare monthly dashboards and reports to assess health of logistics operations and highlight the gaps.
Evaluating transporter performance and ensure the shortcomings are fixed.
Ensuring correct vehicle mix and budget controls as per planned budgets. Executing cost saving measures and to achieve reduction in logistics expenditures and work within the budget.
Ensuring adherence all regulatory compliances, logistics policies, audit findings.
Vehicle placement for IDTs in Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & Kerala by coordinating with Commercial & Transporters
Follow-up with the commercial and CS&L for the timely unloading of vehicles in the respective depots and customers
Vehicle placement in Telangana MSI Plant for primary shipments in coordination with Plant team
Perform all the Transactions in TMS Tool for Primary & secondary shipments and ensure transporters are also updating the same.
Ensure timely Bill Processing of Transporters for undisrupted Primary and secondary supplies.
Arrange Vehicles from the markets in case of unavailability of desired truck size with the registered transporters.
Qualifications
A graduate with minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in Logistics, operations, vendor handling, Warehousing preferably in a similar industry/FMCG/Consumer Durables etc.
Should have hands on experience of minimum 3 years of SAP & tEG or any other Transport Management system.
Proficient in MS Office (primarily with excel and PowerPoint). Well versed with logistics cost performance analysis. Expertise in preparing reports, dashboards.
Experience in handling multiple service providers and driving the transportation execution as per business needs.
Exposure to handling audits and adhering to key logistics policies.
