Role Description:

West Nottinghamshire College is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Motor Vehicle Trainer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking team within the Directorate of Health, Education & Service Industries. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing apprentices engaging and high-quality learning experiences in Motor Vehicle, Fabrication and Welding.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Assessment: Design and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse needs of learners, ensuring all students receive a comprehensive education in Motor Vehicle, Fabrication and Welding.

Practical Instruction: Liaise with learners and industry partners to plan and execute practical learning days, ensuring safety and educational value.

Student Support: Monitor and assess learner progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.

Continuous Improvement: Engage in professional development to stay current with industry standards and educational best practices.

Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations and safeguarding requirements, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Enrichment Activities: Participate in the college's enrichment programs and support the planning of educational trips and visits.

Qualifications & Experience

Appropriate vocational qualifications to at least NVQ level 3 or equivalent

Have, or be willing to work towards Assessor qualifications i.e., A1 and V1 awards or equivalent

Have, or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification

Personal Qualities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners.

Flexible, professional, and positive approach to work.
