Role Summary:

The Purchasing Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of international purchasing and trade compliance for Cinemark. This role is critical in ensuring that all international procurement activities are conducted efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The purchasing manager's responsibilities include developing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs, and overseeing the purchasing team in their daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

International Purchasing:

Develop and implement international purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.

Negotiate contracts and agreements with international suppliers.

Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with Cinemark’s standards and requirements.

Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.

Team Leadership - Leading, mentoring, and training the team. Establishing clear objectives, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring team members have the resources and knowledge to perform effectively.

Trade Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, including import/export laws, customs regulations, and trade agreements.

Maintain trade compliance policies and procedures.

Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.

Provide training and support to internal teams on trade compliance matters.

Vendor Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers and vendors.

Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely and effective manner.

Evaluate and select new suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.

Reporting and Analysis:

Prepare and present reports on purchasing and compliance activities to senior management.

Analyze market trends and conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in international purchasing and trade compliance.

Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)

Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance requirements.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
