Senior Accountant

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team and contribute to growth and success.

Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations and financial analyses.

Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely payment of all taxes.

Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.

Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.

Maintain accurate records and documentation for all financial transactions.

Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP.

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
