Fullstack Software Engineer - InsurTech (Hong Kong)

Our client is an international insurance enterprise, they are currently developing a next-generation InsurTech platform and looking for a highly skilled Fullstack Software Engineer who is proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS. In this critical role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement scalable software applications that enhance the digital platforms and user interfaces. You will have the opportunity to apply your expertise in front-end and back-end development, leveraging modern frameworks, libraries, and tools to deliver robust solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with product owners, UI/UX designers, and other software engineers to develop and implement high-quality software solutions, meeting project requirements and specifications.

- Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable software applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, and related technologies.

- Create responsive web interfaces and mobile applications that provide exceptional user experiences.

- Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, automated tests, and continuous integration.

- Optimize the performance of software applications, ensuring they are highly reliable, secure, and scalable.

- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.

- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to web/mobile development and the insurance industry.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and contribute to the overall software architecture and system design.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, and related frameworks/libraries.

- Proven experience developing web applications using modern front-end technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.

- Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience in developing APIs.

- Familiarity with server-side languages and frameworks (e.g., Express) is highly desirable.

- Experience with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to analyze complex technical requirements and provide innovative solutions.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, international and fast-paced environment.
