Hardware Technician

CCS is seeking an onsite Level 1 Hardware Technician to join our K-12 school district team. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for Chromebook troubleshooting, warranty repair preparation, and hardware repairs. As a member of our IT team, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues and external staff to ensure the district's technology infrastructure runs smoothly. We're looking for a candidate with strong problem-solving skills, experience with Chromebook hardware and software, and a passion for providing excellent technical support.

This position is paying between $38,000-$42,8000 annually. Pay will be based on experience.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot broken Chromebooks.

Powerwash Chromebooks.

Prepare in-warranty devices for third-party repair.

Track warranty devices.

Repair out-of-warranty Chromebooks.

Actively address, update and close tickets (help desk and assets).

Visit schools daily to drop off and pick up Chromebooks.

Work with IT team to support district IT initiatives.

Perform other job -related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1+ years of technical experience or technical school certification.

2+ years of customer service in a service industry position.

High school graduate; technical school or some college preferred.

Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, teachers and staff.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.

Experience with Google for Education (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, etc.) and other educational software a plus.
