The Director of Provider Coding and Billing will serve as a subject matter expert on coding and documentation for healthcare providers and staff, providing guidance and support on complex coding issues.

This position will include reviewing and auditing provider documentation and coding to identify areas of improvement, as well as developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant billing and coding practices.

This position will also oversee the entire billing process, from patient registration to account resolution.

Required Knowledge & Skills Education: Bachelor's Degree Experience: Five years of related experience.

Requires broad knowledge of complex systems and procedures.

Licenses and Certifications *CERTIFIED CODING SPECIALIST Supervision *Exercises direct supervision of other employees.

Qualifications *Education: Bachelor degree required in Health Information Management, Business Administration or related field.

*Certification in Medical Coding (CPC, CCS) and Billing (CPB) required.

*In-depth knowledge of medical billing, coding systems, (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS), and healthcare reimbursement methodologies.

*Strong understanding of federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPPA and CMS guidelines.

*Proficiency in healthcare billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

*Minimum of 5-7 years experience in medical billing and coding, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

*Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

*Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports.

*Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

*Management - Oversees day to day operations of multiple TMG primary and specialty care clinics.

Analyzes operations reports, departmental audits and other core measures to ensure operational quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Develops policies and procedures for TMG clinics.

Develops innovative and efficient approaches to clinic process improvement.

Manages milestones to successful and timely completion to support clinic activities.

Participates in quality improvement activities.

Pursues professional development and works to correct deficits in knowledge.

*Safety - Checks equipment routinely to ensure it is functioning properly.

Maintains working knowledge of equipment and removes faulty equipment from use as necessary.

Is responsible to detect, observe, and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Hotline.

Education Bachelor's Degree Experience Two years of related experience.

Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.

Definitions *The Director provides on-going leadership and operational oversight of multiple, geographically diverse primary and specialty clinics within the Tanner Physician Network, through the development, implementation and management of patient care systems to assure cost-effective and quality operations.

Advises Chief Operating Officer and system leaders on administrative and operational matters as well as matters that potentially impact provider?s professional activities or performance.

This position is an integral member of the TPN management team.

The Director works with various leadership teams to develop and implement processes to meet the needs of TPN customers, employees and providers as well as enhancing the growth and quality of the medical group and System.

Contact With Others Frequent contacts of a significant nature involving difficult negotiations and technical matters requiring thorough knowledge of organization policies or treatment, plus an ability to understand, communicate with, and to lead, and influence others to obtain willing acceptance, consent, or action.
