Job responsibilities:

Develop visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop

Connect to data sources to import data or consumption using Direct Query, and transform data for Business intelligence

Semantic model development using star schema model with in-depth understanding of table relationships

Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals

Experience in unit testing for data reconciliation from data source, semantic and report layer

Implementation of row-level security on data with comprehension of application security layer models in Power BI

Optimize semantic models and reports for efficiency and performance

Migrate and redefine data sources and semantic models as needed

Intermediate to advanced experience with creation of DAX queries in Power BI desktop

Expert in using advanced-level calculations on the semantic model

Creation and use of Power BI Data Flows to create semantic models

Understanding of Power BI query folding to support incremental refresh and direct query

Proficiency with Power BI supporting tools such as DAX Studio, Performance Analyzer, and Tabular Editor
