Role and Responsibilities

The Commercial Construction Project Executive’s primary responsibility is providing general oversight of all business development activities, project performance, customer relationship management, and supervisory responsibilities, etc. within their assigned region. He or she will be responsible for meeting the overall strategic and business goals of the organization.

Oversight of all commercial construction jobs and roles, projects, financials and the otherwise overall health of all projects under their supervision within an assigned region

Client Relationship management and business development

Provide project leadership and set overall performance expectations for both direct and indirect reports.

Work with accounting team and individual project managers to evaluate the financial health of projects on weekly or bi-weekly basis to ensure projects are on track to a 10% or better profit margin.

Serve as project “ambassador” – essentially a liaison between client and PM when issues arise and work to maintain client satisfaction and rectify any issues.

Interview, hire, provide direction, evaluate performance, recommend pay adjustments and when necessary, discipline or discharge subordinates.

Mentor and develop project management team within assigned region.

Problem and conflict resolution within assigned region.

Provide guidance and direction when it comes to strategy to both direct and indirect reports.

Direct involvement in larger and more complex projects.

Reinforce company culture, policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Minimum of 5 years experience as Senior Project Manager or equivalent role in commercial construction; BA or equivalent in Business Administration or Construction Management strongly desired

Solid understanding of the commericial construction industry, job site safety requirements, planning & scheduling, building trades and sequence of work and relevant technology including software.

Experience in Finance & Banking, Fuel Stations & Convenience Stores GROUND-UP BUILDS a plus!

Key competencies are leadership, initiative, communication, teamwork, managing for results and coaching / mentoring.

MUST be able to read and understand construction plans and specifications.

Valid Drivers License

Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.

1. iPad & iPhone, PlanGrid / AutoDesk Build and / or ProCore, BuildingConnected, Salesforce, ComputerEast and other construction accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite of Products, Adobe products and others as the company may require.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to conditions that include weather such as heat and / or humidity and cold, fumes or airborne particles, exposure to dust and asphalt, and moving mechanical parts. There may be occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. Conditions can also include the risk of electrical shock and risk of vibration. The noise level in the work environment can often be loud.

This position is regularly required to:
