Basic Function

Works as Electrical Engineer to oversee and coordinate the facilities construction and design related activities.

Scope

Works with Facilities Support Services Department/Project Management Team.

Principal Duties

1. Interacts with electrical engineers and staff members to identify, define and resolve developmental issues.

2. Conducts mechanical assembly utilizing power and manual tools.

3. Contributes to constant upgrading of product documentation.

4. Oversees and coordinates performance and routine activities of electrical field engineering personnel.

5. Conducts electrical progress work inspections on continuous basis along with complete end electrical installations checkout.

6. Ensures quality and compliance to parameters and codes preceding turnover to client establishment.

7. Supports project controls and supervises detailed work plans as well as mini-schedules establishment.

8. Coordinates and records client as well as vendor needed electrical installations and tests verifications.

9. Supports technical coordination of tag-out and lock-out program activities.

10. Coordinates with Electrical Engineers to solve drawing as well as set-route problems.

11. Inspects permanent plant components through receiving process to ensure project drawings and standards are attained.

12. Coordinates and checks subcontractors in electrical field engineering.

13. Ensures to provide Field Material Request of permanent plant components for purchase.

14. Familiars with the required healthcare electrical standards

Education

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree.

Experience

Minimum five Years’ experience as an Electrical Field Engineer on new building hospital projects.

Experience with power distribution systems, switchgear, UPS's, and generators

Certifications/Other requirements as applicable

• CAD skills and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Project

• Must have excellent understanding of international codes and standards applied like AIA, NFPA, UBC, ASHE, JCI

• Able to read and understand power and control schematics

• Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills

• Fluent in English writing, reading and speaking.
