YOUR ROLE

As Manager of Employee Technology, you will lead the internal IT help desk team which manages and provisions the physical hardware our employees use as well as staffing the virtual help desk. You will also work closely with leaders across the company to ensure their departments are working efficiently with the tools provided. You are the face for internal support and will assist all employees with being able to perform their roles to a high degree using the software and hardware Bold Penguin utilizes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will be the leader of the internal IT team who staffs the company-facing help desk. Your team works to provide timely support for general software and hardware issues employees may experience, as well as provisioning and replacing end-user hardware when employees onboard and off board the company, or replacement is needed. You and your team are also responsible for ensuring employees receive access appropriate for their role and allowing exceptions as appropriate with guidance from Senior department/information security leadership.

Work directly with the information security team for user access reviews and employee off-boarding

Coordinate with HR to ensure new employees are brought on to the company with appropriate access and all hardware needed to perform their role to a high degree

Manage billing and administration of a wide variety of SaaS applications including, but not limited to: VOIP phone systems, Google Workspace, Okta, other Single-Sign On platforms, productivity software, sales enablement, email, endpoint security, video conferencing systems and more.

Managing vendors who maintain physical networking services for Bold Penguin offices and suggesting upgrades and changes as needed.

Managing A/V systems and/or vendors who manage them for Bold Penguin offices.

Working with leaders across the company to ensure they have the support and coordination from the IT team on various projects and initiatives as they present themselves.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of IT management required.

Relevant work experience includes: help desk management, information security management, software administration, technical project management, IT leadership.

Knowledge of: Okta, Active Directory, Office 365, MacOS and Windows operating systems, Google Workspace, Slack Administration required.

Nice to have: Bachelor of Science in computer science or other technical computing/administration, engineering. Knowledge of AWS architecture and console administration, broad Software-As-A-Service experience, HRIS administration, mobile device management platforms, Apple Business Manager / Device Enrollment Program, basic scripting skills, SOC2 or other security posture knowledge, physical/virtual machine inventory management, any CompTIA certifications, including A+, Security+, Network+ and others, familiarity with endpoint management platforms (eg: CrowdStrike Falcon, VMWare Workspace One, others), comprehensive identity and access management including role-based access controls and Zero Trust.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time, (up to 8 hours per day) at a desk working on a computer.

Must be able to use standard office equipment for extended periods of time, including but not limited to, a mouse, keyboard, phone and video conferencing.

Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to access and navigate the corporate office.

The national salary range for this role is $103,200 to $172,900. The expected starting salary range for this role at Bold Penguin is $120,000 to $160,000.
