SUMMARY

Provides leadership to all of the Account Executives (“AE”) and Loan Administrators (“GGL”), who directly support Relationship Managers of the Bank to proactively manage and address the needs of clients with their loan and deposit relationships.

The {Loan Processing Manager} is primarily responsible for establishing and driving uniform and consistent processes and procedures for the AEs across the enterprise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with sales leadership to ensure loan applications are originated efficiently so that loans follow all company and regulatory requirements.

• Develop standards for the varied product types that account for niche products while focused on streamlining tasks.

• Resolves complex problems and develops solutions to assure file transitions to underwriting within the time frame allowed.

• Coach team to achieve/exceed optimal performance goals; take action to optimize productivity, quality, efficiency, and service-levels. Ensure staff is informed of program guidelines and underwriting practices.

• Maintains monthly reporting for management review and all other tracking reports.

• Responsible for managing policies, procedures, processes, losses, timelines, and balancing.

• Monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly production goals and reports.

• Ensure team members meet all KPIs and SLAs.

• Train employees with company software systems, and company process flow.

• Monitor changes in regulations and industry that affect underwriting compliance; recommend updates to policies as required.

• Provide communication to internal partners including sales, underwriters, credit risk, funders, compliance, and post-closing.

• Collaborate across various divisions to manage workflow, regulatory requirements and maximize efficiencies.

• Continuously monitor and assess processing staffing levels, recruitment, performance management, and retention in accordance with company requirements, processes, and policies.

• Oversee all training, processing development and career growth.

• Performs other loan processing related duties as assigned.

• Attends training and maintains a basic knowledge of procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing financial institutions, as they apply to your position and job responsibilities, with an emphasis on the BSA/AML/CIP, Consumer Privacy, Regulation CC, Information Security, Bank Protection Act, FACT-Identity Theft, Information Technology and GLBA.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 5-7 years total work experience processing loans (Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo. NONQM, Purchase, HELOCS, 2nd’, manufactured homes, COOP’S, condominiums, and PUD’S)

• 3- 5 years of which include supervisory/management/region management position(s) with multiple direct reports.

• Expert level knowledge of overall mortgage lending process, processing loan requirements, federal, state, and regulatory requirements/guidelines related to consumer mortgage lending and internal processes, controls, and asset protection.

• Knowledge of closing and title requirements

• Expert level knowledge of valid documentation related to the processing consumer mortgage applications (e.g., tax returns, financial statements and records, verification of income and deposits, etc.).

• Results and metric driven, ability to clearly communicate issues and expectations, and capable of motivating a team to reach goals and drive initiatives.

• Strong management and critical thinking skills, including the ability to evaluate facts and data to draw conclusions and determine the downstream impact of decisions and associated risks.

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks for self and others in a deadline-driven environment, strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.

• Ability to be patient and train less experienced team members, respond to questions, build capability.

• Detail orientated, highly organized, strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Prior experience using internal data entry systems, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• Encompass LOS experience preferred
