The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing sales activities by working with and supporting our distribution channel, as well as serving certain customers directly. The position works with customers throughout the value chain, from Engineering companies to end-users, as well as original equipment manufacturers and consolidators. In addition, we are looking for someone that will enhance the existing business with our current customer base as well as grow this base significantly.
**This position can be located anywhere in Canada**
Expectations
To excel in the role you should:
Develop sales plans and manage channel activities for the assigned geography.
Contribute to the development of channel sales, customer retention, pricing, and distribution strategies for area of responsibility.
Negotiate sales with existing and new customers who are of strategic importance to the organization.
Prepare order forecasts and budgets; monitor order volumes against forecasts to identify problem areas; and adapt procedures to improve the overall performance.
May coach sales and/or service sales representatives on the operational aspects of the organization's products and services and internal procedures; on sales promotions; and on sales techniques, procedures and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets
Geographical scope: Canada
To succeed in this role you will need:
Proven experience as an account manager or similar role
5-8 Years of relevant experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
Experience within Flow Control (specifically valves and controls); Metals and mining industry would is a plus
Ability to travel up to 40%
