**Job Summary:**

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and financial control of construction projects. This role involves preparing cost estimates, managing budgets, and ensuring that financial aspects of projects are executed effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Cost Estimation:** Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.

- **Budget Management:** Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that all expenditures are tracked and controlled within the approved limits.

- **Tendering:** Prepare and review tender documents, including bills of quantities, and assist in the evaluation and selection of subcontractors and suppliers.

- **Contract Administration:** Administer contracts, including the preparation of interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.

- **Cost Control:** Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction phase, identifying and addressing any potential financial issues.

- **Reporting:** Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to project managers and senior management, highlighting any discrepancies or concerns.

- **Site Visits:** Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure that work is being completed in accordance with the contract and budget.

- **Dispute Resolution:** Assist in resolving any financial disputes or claims that may arise during the course of the project.

**Qualifications:**

- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

- **Experience:** Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.

- **Skills:**

- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and financial management.

- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.

- **Certifications:** Membership with a recognized professional body (e.g., RICS) is preferred.

- **Location:** Based in Oman, with occasional site visits as required.
