Job Description :

The Global Data Science Manager is responsible for providing data and technical expertise on data projects for Havas.

S/He will work with the Global Data Director, Global Data Managers, Global Data Analyst and pool of IT Developers, Data Analysts and Scientists in implementation of data algorithms and platforms across multiple markets

S/He will lead innovation in data products to test/learn and implement the best in class technology into innovative products. Ex: Generative AI

S/He support the Product team in collaboration with the IT team to align business requirements with functional and technical specification with architecture

S/He works efficiently to complete projects as a team and with the help of IT to help in automation

S/He provides data expertise and works closely with the Product Directors/Managers, R&D teams and other Havas technical teams

S/He contributes to the continuous improvement of working practices, application quality, tooling and agile processes

Functional

Agile to produce multiple POCs, MVPs every quarter to lead innovation in Havas’ data products involving data science and automation

Ability to lead a small Data Science team to organize and produce results

Ability to organize and co-ordinate with internal and external IT and business personnel

Provides the Data Product team with functional expertise applied to data and solutions around insights, media planning and activation

Brings good sense and expertise to review and align business and data processes with formalization and communication around this

Extract value from this alignment to identify tasks that could be automated and enhance the process to fluidify synergies between applications

Collaboration with various stakeholders including internal Havas teams, markets, tech partners etc.

Ability to communicate complex projects in easy to understand presentations to leadership team or clients

Technical & Data Expertise

Provides the Data Product team and markets with data expertise in the use of data algorithms (and Python apps with front end which is a nice to have)

Ability to automate and schedule data projects on Databricks/cloud

Ability to incorporate AI into data products

Ability to automate data preparation and exploration before modelling in Python

Actively work with the Product & Measurement team to support the use and overlap of ID (3rd party data) and Non-ID (panel) text based database with algorithms built on Python

Actively work with the Product team and contribute to definition, specification, validation and implementation of user cases using client data. Ex: prediction of intention to buy, segmentation etc.

Provides functional and technical specification with architecture for project tasks

Collaborates with end-users (user interviews) and technical partners in specification of product features

Education & Languages

Master’s degree in Technology/Data Science

Fluent in English & Spanish

Previous Experience

6+ years relevant professional experience

Key Competencies

Technical

Working with Big Data in GCP/AWS environments

Working knowledge in Databricks or Cloud functions

Knowledge in technical languages (Python)

Knowledge in data science algorithms

Knowledge in applied and generative AI with Google or Microsoft

Text based NLP models

Non Technical

Mature interpersonal skills with clarity in written/oral communication

Proactive and ability to initiate

Good analytical problem-solving skills

Curious, positive, persistent, and can-do attitude

Proficiency in English & Spanish is a must

Nice to have

Building self-service apps in Python

Working with API
