Job Description

The Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering invites applications for a non-tenure-track, full-time lecturer appointment in the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering.

Salary: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate classes in one or more of the following areas:

Geotechnical

Structural

Water resources

Transportation engineering, with an emphasis on teaching undergraduate laboratory courses.

The candidate will also engage in meaningful service to the department, university, and profession.

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have an earned M.S. in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.

Professional licensure, industry experience, and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or a closely related field are desirable.

About the Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering: The Department serves approximately 300 students. The Department offers B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering, as well as a B.S. degree in Architectural Engineering. Both undergraduate programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc. Both civil engineering degrees cover the technical areas of geotechnical, structural, transportation, and water resources engineering. The architectural engineering degree covers building electrical and mechanical systems, structural engineering, and construction management, with an introduction to basic principles of architecture.
