Position: Manager (Allied Health) [For Serving HA Staff Only]

Rank: Senior Executive Officer

Department/Cluster: Allied Health Grade Department, Cluster Services Division, HA Head Office

Pay: HK$96,142 to HK$140,903 [HMPS point 9 to 19] per month including Monthly Allowance

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Chief Manager (Allied Health)/ Senior Manager (Allied Health), the incumbent will provide senior executive and administrative support to committees and projects in relation to Allied Health Grade and service development. The key roles of this post include:

1. Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring of various cross Allied Health disciplinary subjects or projects.

2. Prepare paper, report, collation and analysis of information to senior management, Board, committee and Government Bureau/ Departments.

3. Assist in leading AH grades/ coordinating committees, engage and coordinate with cluster/ hospital teams, liaise with internal and external parties to support grade management and development.

4. Enhance governance structure for project assigned, including providing secretarial support to key meetings.

5. Oversee enquiry handling and functions of department.

6. Supervise junior staff of the team.

7. Perform other duties associated with the post.

8. Subject to job rotation to other duties under Allied Health Grade Department.

Entry Requirements:

1. A university degree or equivalent.

2. At least 7 years’ post-qualification managerial experience in management function / respective profession / function of the post, of which at least 3 years’ experience is in middle management / professional level (e.g. EO I or equivalent level).

3. Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Preferable Attributes/Exposure

1. A Master degree in health services management or equivalent.

2 Experience in providing executive and secretarial support to committees.

3. Relevant hands-on experience and knowledge of grade management.

4. Leadership, strategic thinking, self-motivated and strong management capability.

5. Excellent management, interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to movitate and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
