Position Title:

Ward III (5 color Die Cutting & Printing Machine) Assistant Operator

Pay Rate:

$22.66/hr. + Shift differential for 2nd Shift

Sign on Bonus:

$500 after Probationary Period

$500 after 6 months

Retention Bonus:

$500 after 1 year

Additional lump sum after 2 years

Category/Shift:

Hourly Full-Time (2:20pm - 10:50pm Monday-Friday) occasional daily overtime and/or overtime on Saturdays - required

The Job You Will Perform:

Must be willing to operate machine when operator is off work and/or can learn the operation of a machine

Ability to do paperwork and understand/manage production masters

Responsible and self motivated

Keep a clean and orderly work area

Complete all required SPIs

Must have ability to learen and understand machine line up

Willing to learn and develop skills to be an operator

Basic knowledge of process printing

Must be willing to train for multi-machine assistant operator

Capable of reading, adjusting, and recording PH and viscosity charts and caliper

Must wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Count and stack finished product

Safely lift/move up to 75 pounds during regular work shift

Accurately read gauges and other test equipment

Utilize basic shop math, inspecting skills

Accurately complete quality and administrative documents and follow directions

May also be assigned clean-up functions such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, as well as picking up and shredding scrap materials

The Skills You Will Bring:

Plant manufacturing experience preferred

Corrugated industry experience preferred

High school diploma / GED preferred

Ability to read, write, and speak English

Ability to read a tape measure and ruler

Must be 18 years of age or older

Stable work history

Flexible to work as needed

Mechanical aptitude a plus and ability to safely operate industrial equipment

Drug screen, health assessment, background and reference check

Must be self-driven
