As an Entertainment Department Intern at Windstar Cruises, you will gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of cruise ship entertainment. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the Entertainment and Engagement Operations Manager, assisting with global talent sourcing, onboard enrichment programming, and the development of innovative entertainment concepts. You will play an active role in shaping memorable guest experiences while gaining invaluable insight into cruise ship management and entertainment logistics.

This internship will be based in Windstar Cruises' Corporate Offices in Doral, FL.

Responsibilities

Assist in sourcing local entertainment talent from various destinations around the world.

Help schedule and manage talent for onboard enrichment programs.

Collaborate in developing new and engaging onboard entertainment concepts.

Participate in the creation and brainstorming of entertainment ideas and themes.

Gain exposure to entertainment management, including working with entertainment agencies and learning about cruise ship operations.

Contribute to administrative tasks such as maintaining schedules, tracking entertainment proposals, and organizing performer contracts.

Qualifications

Event or Entertainment Management Major with at least 1 year of coursework completed.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Creativity and a passion for entertainment, particularly in theater arts.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with other administrative tools.

Reliable, trustworthy, and eager to learn.

Enthusiastic about cruise ship entertainment management and willing to contribute to the development of onboard programs.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
