The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following 3+ week position in the Pasadena, TX area: RODBUSTER 4 x 10 + OT 1.0 Position Overview This position is responsible to position and secure steel bars (rebar) in concrete forms to reinforce concrete.

1.1 Major Duties and Responsibilities 1.1.1 Determines number, sizes, shapes, and location of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions.

1.1.2 Selects and places rods in forms, spacing and fastening them together, using wire and pliers.

1.1.3 Cuts bars to required length, using hacksaw, bar cutters, or acetylene torch.

1.1.4 May bend steel rods with hand tools or rod bending machine.

1.1.5 May reinforce concrete with wire mesh.

1.2 Physical Demands 1.2.1 Strength Level Heavy - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.

1.2.2 Working Conditions - May include extreme hot or cold weather conditions.

Requires standing on feet most of the workday, while bending, stooping, or squatting.

Requires carrying reinforcing bars to place inside forms.
