Responsibilities:
Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new employees.
Assist in the termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Work and think “beyond the office;” travel to regional offices to meet employees, provide local recruiting support when needed, be a business partner to managers at all sites.
Develop new strategies and programs to attract candidates; move beyond status quo.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Write job descriptions.
Participate in compensation planning.
Ensure recruitment practices follow legal, ethical, and company standards.
With leadership team examine employee turnover factors and employee retention methods.
Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
Be engaged in continuous process improvement and search for innovative recruiting methods.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelorâ s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
Three to five years of recruiting experience required
Hands-on technical recruiting and field-based recruiting experience is highly preferred
Ability to travel to regional offices
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or similar certification required or must be obtained within 12 months of hire date
Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Understanding of industrial workforce, CDL divers and transportation, technical recruiting a plus
Must be ADP, Microsoft Office, and UKG proficient
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail is necessary
Be aware of deadlines and the ability to thoroughly communicate delays when they occur
Have empathy and understanding that not all employees or candidates are having a great day; be willing to reschedule events if time allows
Plan your time; utilize a calendar, prioritize tasks, be aware of due dates
Be able to “raise your hand” when help is needed, everyone has a vested interest in team success
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at times
Be able to travel by plane and automobile to regional offices
