Responsibilities:

General Ledger – Responsible for activities associated with maintaining complete and accurate financial statements, reviews general ledger accounts, completes journal entries, and maintains the general ledger chart of accounts

In addition, the position will provide support and guidance based on monthly, quarterly, and year end closing duties.

Identifies ways to streamline month-end close process

Research proper treatment of accounting topics and prepares recommendations

Assist in gathering information for internal end of month financial reporting

Analyze and explain monthly variances within multiple G/L accounts.

Manipulate data for leadership evaluation.

Full comprehension of system processes and data flow.

Tax Accounting & Planning - Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annually.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

CPA or advanced degree is a plus

Knowledge of federal, state and local tax laws a plus

Exceptional organizational and project management skills

Ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent analytical skills

Experience in MRP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain seated for 8+ hours.

Must be able to frequently rise to stand and walk.

Ability to lift files and open filing cabinets.

Reach with hands and arms.

Able to climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Able to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, wrist.

The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp/manipulate objects.
