The OSU STAR TRC focuses on the treatment of trauma for those patients who have been identified as survivors of crime. The OSU STAR TRC outreach coordinator will manage the interface between the Trauma Recovery Center patients and community-based programming. This position will focus on building relationships between communities, community-based programs and the Trauma Recovery Center. Additionally, this position will offer victim advocacy services for patients accessing care at the TRC who require additional support navigating the legal system.

The outreach coordinator will collaborate with the Program Director and Senior Outreach coordinator to develop, implement and evaluate outreach solutions that support access to expert clinical care, research studies and clinician education. Assertive outreach s an essential component of the Trauma Recovery Center model. While assertive outreach does require clinical skill, time and careful consideration of patient and staff safety it addresses the needs of patients who face multiple barriers to accessing trauma recovery services. Assertive outreach goes beyond initial engagement helping retain clients in services and ensuring linkage to services.

Bachelors degree in related field with experience in customer service or volunteer coordination. Graduate degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience. .LSW preferred but not required. Ohio Victim Advocacy Certification preferred but not required.
