Finance and Administration Manager

The Finance Manager oversees the financial management and reporting activities of the company, and is responsible for budget and forecast planning as well as supporting executive management team in offering insights and financial advices that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.

To improve the quality of accounting processes and implement more robust financial controls to achieve high level of financial statements integrity, reliable, timely and accurate reporting of the financial results for decision-making. The role will also perform analytical procedures to provide a deeper insight into the colleague and operational costs. Other main duties include ensuring financial reporting is in compliance with the Group Accounting Policies, accounting standards and regulatory requirements; preparing and analysis of monthly financial and management reports; preparation of annual budget and forecasts; and meeting month end closing deadlines. He/she may be required to perform ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Handle full spectrum of accounting functions

Lead the team in operational / financial matters and ensures proper, accurate and timely closure of monthly financial and management accounts and reports

Preparation of annual budget and forecasts providing insights and drivers of operational costs

Review and provide analysis on month end results against budget and forecasts for submission to local and regional management

Preparation of statutory financial statements, handle statutory audit and ensuring compliance with all legal, tax and regulatory requirements

Ensure timely preparation and filing of corporate income tax return

Provide value adding analysis and prepare all necessary reports in supporting the business’ growth

Identify, anticipate, and resolve all finance related issues and escalate to management where appropriate

Strengthen current internal controls and ensure risk management are in place and adhered to

Improve current systems and work processes to optimise productivity and efficiency

Liaise and work with external parties such as bankers, auditors, tax consultants and company secretary

Handle monthly payroll and administration of pension funds (ORSO & MPF) and statutory insurance

Upkeep of information for employee database, colleague turnover rate report

Coordinate on recruitment activities including posting of vacancy, arrangement for interview and issuing of employment contract

Requirements:

A recognised degree or professional qualification in Accountancy;

Minimum 6 years of hands-on accounting experiences in MNC environment with minimum 3 years of experience in similar capacity;

Prior working experience as an auditor would be an advantage;

Excellent knowledge in US GAAP/ Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards;

Knowledge in government taxes such as corporate income tax, withholding taxes and other statutory requirements;

Highly proficient in MS Excel, Quickbooks, SAP would be an advantage;

Strong communicator with the ability to communicate with Executives and non-financial individuals alike;

Ability to identify issues and use initiative to solve complex problems;

Possess leadership qualities, strong analytical and problem- solving skills;

Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines;

Team player with willingness to help others beyond their formal role;

Strong initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision;

Exercise the upmost discretion when dealing with confidential information.
