Description:

We are looking for a Customer Services Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in SDH/DWDM, DATA, MPLS-TP & IP networks. Troubleshooting, planning, supporting, and maintaining critical customer networks

Responsibilities

• Engineer scalable and cost-effective network solutions tailored to customer needs

• Collaborate with customers to define network requirements and translate them into technical designs

• Oversee the implementation of network configurations, ensuring seamless deployment and integration

• Diagnose and troubleshoot customer technical issues with promptness and accuracy

• Implement effective solutions to restore network functionality and optimize performance

• Proactively identify potential network issues and recommend preventative measures

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of network support protocols and procedures

• Provide expert assistance with ongoing network troubleshooting and maintenance activities

• Generate insightful reports on network performance metrics and customer engagements

• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of troubleshooting procedures and resolutions

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in telecommunication protocols, specializing in MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VPLS, and VLANs

• Deep comprehension of Ethernet protocols, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN protocols, and switching/routing protocols, demonstrating a comprehensive grasp of network fundamentals and advanced connectivity solutions

• Extensive knowledge of SDH, DWDM, and OTN technologies, with hands-on experience in planning, deploying and troubleshooting high-bandwidth network infrastructures

• Strong understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems, including proficiency in navigating, managing, and troubleshooting server environments

• Experience working in a dynamic and collaborative global services center, adept at working independently and as part of a team to deliver 24/7/365 support for a diverse range of customers and projects

• Proficiency in English (Reading & Writing) to facilitate effective collaboration with diverse teams and customers

Advantages

• Proficiency with RIBBN products, enhancing familiarity with equipment and platforms

• Technical degree (e.g., Electronics Engineering, Practical Engineering, Computer Science) for a strong foundation in network principles and problem-solving

• Experience managing multi-vendor network environments

• Proficiency in scripting languages and network automation tools

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

• Awareness of emerging network technologies and trends
