Those offerings include devices such as switches, sensors, data communication modules, touch input panels, actuators, and power inductors; electronic shifters, remote keyless entry systems, and other automotive units; consumer electronics like car navigation and audio-visual systems; and systems and services such as digital keys based on smartphone app and blockchain technology, and remote monitoring.

Major Responsibilities

Create and maintain requirements, product roadmaps, technologies roadmaps, and research roadmaps

Determine types of technical literature searches, seminars, technology shows, and sources of information to satisfy the information needs of the advanced engineering departments

Evaluate existing company’s products/solutions and provide recommendations for approaching related or adjacent markets

Comprehensive market and technology assessment of business opportunities

Monitor industry journals and keep updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices while providing updates every month

Provide marketing support through reviewing, updating, and assisting the development of marketing materials, provide suggestions for new product development, and assist with trade shows

Responsible for conducting geographic, demographic, and competitive analysis to inform marketing decisions and strategy

Keeps informed about developments in the government, industry, and international fields as they apply to the organization's future technology plans

Skills required

Ability to do technical evaluation and positioning of competitive products with minimal supervision

Ability to manage & support multiple activities (time management skills)

Demonstrate ability to work independently and with others

Excellent verbal, written skills, and presentation skills

Ability to discuss highly technical concepts

Experience conducting research, analyzing data, and presenting findings

Know and use research tools, techniques, and services

Qualifications

MBA or advanced management degree is preferred, with an undergraduate degree in Business or Engineering and experience in related fields

Ability to meet deadlines is critical.

Ability to coordinate numerous projects at the same time (Time management)

Pressure to create products/technology

Must be willing to adjust the schedule on short notice for customer demands

10% - 15% travel required.

At various times there will be considerable pressure to complete information and presentation materials.
